When the Bulldogs eventually take the field, Peyton Plumlee will get the start, and Kumar Rocker will take the mound for Vandy. In his last outing, Rocker threw a no-hitter during Vanderbilt’s Super Regional matchup with Duke. Plumlee tossed 6.2 innings and allowed just 2 hits in MSU’s close-out game against Stanford that sent the Bulldogs to the CWS.
The last time Mississippi State and Vandy met, the Bulldogs were shutout in a 1-0 loss during the SEC Tournament.
