JACKSON, MISS– It is yet another hot and humid day across the Magnolia state, but the heat is not as severe as it has been–lower heat indices are making the outdoors a little more bearable, but you’ll still need to exercise caution as temps rise into the 90’s statewide.
North Mississippi you’ll see pretty consistent rain chances around 30 percent as temps climb into the mid and lower 90’s. The most extreme of the heat staying in the Delta and to the West as expected heat values get closer to 105.
Central Mississippi, mid 90’s, 30 to 40 percent chances of showers and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon..
And for South Mississippi, higher rain chances, 50-60 percent, with highs in the low 90’s.
Overnight lows drop into the mid 70’s statewide and the chance of rain sticks around. Tuesday you’re seeing much of the same, with increased chances of rain.
