JACKSON, Miss. — It’s still spring, but you are going to need a jacket today. “Temperatures right now are pretty much topping out at what their highs will reach for the afternoon for some areas, mainly Central Mississippi,” said David Cox with the National Weather Service.
A cold front, he said, is pushing through with today’s rain. “So temperatures will actually start to fall this afternoon probably into the upper 40s and lower 50s.” And some record setting temperatures are possible tonight with lows dipping into the lower 40s and upper 30s. Unseasonably cool tomorrow too, with highs in the 60s.
Flash flood watches are in effect today for many Mississippi Counties
