HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Those from around the state gathered at Southern Miss to support the state flag.
It’s the third week in a row dozens showed up hoping to get the flag back up at Southern.
The University President ordered that the flag be brought down about two weeks ago.
Southern Miss now joins the likes of Jackson State and Ole Miss as schools who have chosen to do away with the flag.
Protesters say they’ll be out there supporting the flag each Sunday.
According to WDAM, a few of the flags read “No State Flag, No Funds.”
