Greg Harkins has been working with wood for nearly 50 years. Learning from Master Chairmaker, Tom Bell, he uses techniques passed down from the mid-1800s. Over the last 25 years, he has perfected the art of making rocking chairs. Six sitting US Presidents were gifted one of his produced by hand, made in Mississippi chairs, with the latest being Donald Trump.
Greg Harkins sat down with Rebecca Turner of Good Things and talked chairs and shared his honest opinion of today’s furniture –spoiler alert, they don’t make it as they use too.
