JACKSON, Miss. — Mission Mississippi will host its 14th Annual Governor’s Prayer Luncheon Thursday in Jackson.
“We want you to come pray with us,” said Mission Mississippi President Neddie Winters. “Because we believe God can direct us in the way that we should go.”
And there is a long list of people on this year’s prayer list. “The Governor, Lt. Governor, our statewide elected officials and our congressmen,” explained Winters. But for the first time in the history of the luncheon, Winters said there will be a panel discussion featuring Governor Phil Bryant and Congressman Bennie Thompson. “This is a chance for you to hear their story; to hear their heart, about their personal relationship with the Lord, faith and race.”
