Mississippi State put together a dominant performance on Saturday against Stephen F. Austin, but against a mediocre opponent, how good are the Bulldogs really? Coach Bob Shoop told the assembled media he expects Kansas State to provide a unique look against his team, similar to what a service academy might show.
Kansas State runs a two quarterback system, both of which have similar skill sets, and will attempt to run power at the Bulldogs. With the strong Mississippi State defensive line in front of them, it will be a tough task for the Wildcats to get yardage on the ground. In the air, Kansas State struggled a week ago, completing on 13 of 28 passes against South Dakota. The Bulldog secondary had some busts in week one, so that is an area that will look to show improvement on Saturday.
