JACKSON, Miss.–If you plan to plant potatoes next month, you may have a hard time finding them to plant. So, you may need to plan a trip to your local county co-op, said Garden Mama Nellie Neal.
“Because a lot of them will have a bag or two in the back, just waiting to see if anybody will plant,” she said.
She said your co-op may be very active in potato sales, so check early.
“And you need to ask, cause it’s not something you’re gonna see advertized out in front along with the shrubs. It’s a vegetable product and something you may need to ask about.”
She said if you need to order online, there is at least one good option.
“Potatogarden.com, couldn’t be any easier than that, will ship if they know you’re in the south. Do that and let’s all grow potatoes this year. Why not? I like the idea.”
