The Polls Are Out and Miss. State Stays No.1, Ole Miss Drops to 7 After Loss to LSU

BATON ROUGE, La.–It was a tough loss for Ole Miss and Ole Miss fans Saturday, as the Rebs lost their first game of the season to LSU at Tiger stadium, 10 to 7. That brings their record to 7-1 for the season and brought their ranking in the AP poll to no. 7, down from 3 last week.

Meanwhile, Mississippi State remains no. 1, despite a tough day for quarterback Dal Prescott Saturday, who scored three touchdowns in the 45 to 31 victory over Kentucky in Lexington. Josh Robinson made 198 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

It was another loss for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles at home Saturday, beaten by Louisiana Tech 31 to 20.

It was a 42 to 28 loss for Jackson State to Southern University Saturday.

For Delta State and the Fighting Okra, it was a win on the road and another testament to an outstanding football season. The win was 45 to 24 over West Alabama in Livingston.

Alcorn State posted an amazing win over Prairie View A&M Saturday, 77 to 48 on the road, and have the week off this coming Saturday..
