Law enforcement in and around Tchula are still looking for two suspects after a mass shooting Friday night left one dead and six injured.
Around 11 p.m., shots rang out outside The Mix, a local nightclub turned pool hall, when the seven people were struck by bullets. The person killed was a woman, whose identity has not been confirmed.
When responding, officers discovered rounds from an AK-47 and an AR-15 on the scene.
The vehicle believed to have been used by the culprits was later discovered on Howard Bottom Road by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, who say it was stolen from a used car dealership in Jackson. Officers are also under the impression that the two suspects are responsible for two Dollar General robberies last week.
As of now, no new leads have been released to the public. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office at (662)834-1511.
