Authorities are investigating a threat that was made toward South Pontotoc Schools.
The Pontotoc County School District reports that administrators were made aware of the threat over the weekend. Though details remain sparse, the individual believed to be behind the threats has been identified and reported to police.
An increased presence of law enforcement will be seen at the schools to ensure the safety of faculty and students. Officials do not believe the educational facilities are at imminent risk of danger.
