GULF PORT, Miss. – The body of a missing five-year-old girl found in the bathroom of trailer home Thursday in Gulfport was in fact Janaya Thompson. Investigators are now saying Janaya was strangled. Also, police have arrested two person’s on interested on separate charges, Julian Grey and Alberto Garcia. They lived at the address where the body was found.
Search dogs lead police to her location. She had been missing from the Palms apartments on Three Rivers Road since Wednesday night. Janaya’s body has been sent to the state crime lab for autopsy to determine the cause of death. For now the investigation is being treated as a homicide.
