STARKVILLE, Miss.–The Mississippi State Bulldogs are still the No. 1 favorite in the country in the play-off polls, which came out Tuesday. The Ole Miss Rebels, while still making a strong showing, fell out of the top ten.
State’s record is still perfect and that, along with standout performances by Dak Prescott and Josh Robinson, has kept the team in the top spot.
Ole Miss, with two losses, one after the other, fell from No. 4 last week, to No. 11 this week. It’s still a strong showing, but makes it quite unlikely now that State and Ole Miss will play each other more than once, post-season.
