JACKSON COUNTY, Miss.- Authorities confirm that wreckage from what they believe is the missing plane has been found on Belle Fontaine Beach in Ocean Springs.
Mellissa Scallan, Public Affairs Director the Department of Marine Resources confirmed that wreckage was found on the beach and that they believe it is that of the missing Jackson County Plane.
“We are waiting on the FFA, Coast guard, and DMR is out there in Jackson County so we are investigating but we do believe it is from the plane,” said Scallan.
The aircraft went messing yesterday and was carrying three people. It was a single engine Cessna and Coast Guard Officials were directed to the location following cell phone pings from the passengers. No individuals have been found yet.
