THORNTON, Miss.–It was an attack by two pit bulls Monday afternoon that left three-year-old Christopher Malone dead. The dogs were taken from the home and Sheriff Willie March said his department is investigating.
Breezynews.com reported the attack happened around 4 p.m. in the Thornton community, which is in southern Holmes County.
The family has had the dogs since they were very young and the family said Monday that there had been no previous attacks or indications the dogs would turn on anyone.
Even though animal control officers took the pit bulls, it was unclear if they would be put down.
