BREAKING NEWS: Osyka Police said two young girls are in the hospital after their mother allegedly shot them.
According to Pike County Chief Investigator Chris Bell, the incident took place Monday.
Bell said that after allegedly shooting her two daughters, the mother took her own life.
Both children, ages seven and 17 are currently recovering in the hospital.
The seven-year-old is reportedly in critical condition and will require surgery while the 17-year-old daughter is expected to recover.
