JACKSON, Miss. — Pigs getting jabbed and shocked before imminent death, somehow PETA got video footage of that. They claim its happening at Southern Quality Meats Inc. in Ponotoc, a place that supplies food to your kid’s schools.
Since, PETA has sent a letter to the Mississippi Department of Education and they have filed a complaint to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Services, since it could be a violation of a federal regulations that require pigs to be handled with minimal discomfort before slaughter.
News Mississippi called Southern Quality Meats, Inc. They said the video was nothing they released and they did not have a response at the time.
