The Pearl woman found to have mishandled tens of thousands of dollars intended for the Brandon High School Band booster program will spend five years behind bars.
Donna Gladney Floyd, 42, pled guilty last week to embezzling more than $45,000 intended for the high school band after previously being indicted for the crime. She was arrested in connection to the reported theft in May 2023.
Floyd was sentenced to 20 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, but 15 years were suspended by the judge. She will spend five years locked up and five years on probation following her time in prison.

According to investigators, the case was first brought to their attention by the Rankin County School District and Brandon High School officials.
