JACKSON, Miss. – Pay Attention or Pay a Fine, that’s the title of the new Mississippi Highway Patrol campaign.
Just last year over 600 Mississippians were killed in car crashes across the state.
Captain Johnny Poulos with the Highway patrol says the goal of the campaign is to try and bring awareness to distracted/careless driving, seat belt usage and speeding.
Last year, October was the deadliest month for car crashes.
