JACKSON, MISS– A partnership has been created to introduce Mississippi’s Top 50 Most Influential People, according to Y’all Politics owner Alan Lange.
The Mississippi Top 50 Award is being created to recognize the movers and shakers in the political sphere in the state.
“You have an initiative, or policy initiative,” said Lange. “Who are the most influential people to help get that done?”
Lange says those nominated for the list can be elected or appointed officials, lobbying and government relations, and business, culture, and media people.
“We need full participation,” said Lange. “You have to be nominated to win.”
The list will be released annually, and will contain those who have been nominated as the 50 Most Influential across the state. The leaders come from both parties, from all levels of government. The nominations are open through September 2.
Y’all Politics has teamed up with SuperTalk Mississippi, to sponsor this award. Winners are nominated through an open process that allows for the public to weigh in on whom the most influential people may be. While there are no costs to nominate or be nominated, nomination is required to win. However, one must be nominated to be considered. Those receiving the titles will be announced in early October.
To nominate someone or get more information, visit the MSTop50 website.
There will be an awards ceremony on November 10, 2016, at the Old Capitol Inn in Jackson.
