With end-of-year awards rolling in, two Bulldogs and one Rebel have earned spots on the SEC All-Freshman team.
Mississippi State’s Chris Parson was the lone quarterback on the list. The former four-star recruit saw periodic play in his first season in Starkville without burning his redshirt. In appearances against Texas A&M and Kentucky, Parson passed for 103 yards with a 42 percent completion rate.

Joining Parson on the list was teammate and defensive lineman Donterry Russell. Russell, the younger brother of senior De’Monte Russell, had 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks in his first year playing alongside big brother since their time at Provine High School in Jackson.
From Ole Miss, linebacker Suntarine Perkins got the nod after a regular season campaign that included 36 tackles and 3.5 sacks. The former five-star out of Raleigh knocked down one pass as well.
