NEW ALBANY, Miss. — Tied up, beaten and tased allegedly by their own dad and step-mom, two Union County teens are now in protective custody. Jonathan Carroll and his wife, Cindy are in jail with no bond.
Police began investigating the case after Jonathan Carroll’s 17-year-old daughter ran away from home and started staying at a local church. Police say the teen and her younger sister, a 14-year-old, moved in with their dad after their mother died a few years ago. They say the Carroll’s would abuse the girls after heated arguments. In court Thursday, investigators also testified that the parents got upset and abused the girls one day because they used face cream that bleached their towels.
