October is Violence Prevention Month, and Palmer Home for Children is doing everything they can do to not only prevent child abuse but aid victims throughout the recovery process.
“Palmer Home being able to place these kids in a loving, safe environment is one of our unique ways of violence prevention,” Palmer Home Director of Social Services Raven Ponds said. “I have witnessed in many situations, placing children in a loving, stable, and healthy home is a way of breaking the cycle of violence for these kids.”
While Palmer Home does an absolutely beautiful job of giving Mississippi children something many of them have never felt before—hope—they can’t do it without the rest of us.
If you would like to help out, you can either attend this weekend’s Tailgate for Palmer, which is this Saturday on the campus of Mississippi State, or you can simply visit palmerhome.org/donate.
