COLUMBUS, Miss.–Palmer Home of Mississippi is getting $127,000, thanks to the SuperTalk Mississippi RadioThon, held Thursday. Last year over $100,000 was raised, prompting the Palmer Home and TeleSouth Communications, parent company of SuperTalk Mississippi and News Mississippi, to raise the goal this year to $120,000, which was well exceeded.
SuperTalk shows broadcast live from Palmer Home all day Thursday to raise the money, which will be used to help Mississippi kids in desperate situations who can no longer live with their families.
Palmer Home has spent over a century providing a safe, nurturing environment in a Christian context for children. There are two campuses, in Columbus and Hernando.
This is the third year TeleSouth has presented the radiothon.
