One student is hospitalized and another is in the custody of law enforcement following a stabbing at Oak Grove High School.
First responders rushed to the educational facility on Wednesday following the incident that took place in one of the school’s restrooms. Sources tell SuperTalk Mississippi News that a female student stabbed another female student in the face.
In a notification sent to parents, school officials acknowledged that the incident was isolated. Pupils not involved in the altercation were not believed to be in any danger.
The school was placed on lockdown until law enforcement was able to take control of the scene. The unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital while the alleged perpetrator was detained.
