A new report from the CDC shows that one person in Mississippi has gotten sick from a batch of ground beef that has been recalled by Tolleson Inc. out of Arizona.
According to the CDC, the potentially contaminated beef was packaged between July 26 – September 7 and was shipped to retailers nationwide under many brand names. Due to the date, the remaining packages will likely be in your freezer.
If the beef is marked with establishment number ‘267’ it needs to be thrown away.
There are currently over 330 cases in 28 states related to the salmonella outbreak. After nearly 7 million pounds were recalled in October, an additional 5.2 million pounds were called earlier this month.
91 people have been hospitalized, but no deaths related to the recall have been reported.
