JACKSON, Miss.–Mississippi is still recovering from yet another wintry incident where 53 counties reported ice, in some form, on roadways. Now a warm-up is coming. But, first, one more night will have you chilled to the bone, again.
Friday night and Saturday morning promise temperatures in the low 20s as far south as Hattiesburg.
During the day Friday, temperatures were expected to get well above freezing and into the upper 40s and low 50s for central and south, which will give any remaining frozen precip a chance to melt.
Saturday brings in 50s and 60s. Then, Sunday there’s a chance for rain that stays around for at least the first half of next week.
