One person has passed away following an early morning shooting over the weekend, according to officials with the Wiggins Police Department.
Law enforcement was notified that a shooting had occurred at a residence at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, leaving 37-year-old Craig Tillman with a fatal gunshot wound.
The suspect then transported the Wiggins native to Memorial Hospital in Stone County before officials could arrive at the residence, with Tillman later succumbing to his injuries.
Another victim was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been transferred to an unspecified location. The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, was arrested at Memorial shortly after the incident occurred.
Authorities with the Wiggins Police Department are currently investigating the residence where the shooting occurred, with additional details expected to follow.
