A storm-related death has been reported overnight. According to Washington County Assistant Chief Percy Miles, they were made aware of the storm-related death around 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
The unidentified person was killed when a tree fell on their mobile home due to the severe storms that were moving through the area. Miles said the area has seen downed trees and a number of downed power lines, however, no other injuries have been reported. A tornado warning was issued for nearby Greenwood and Indianola.

Miles asks people to be cautious if they are trying to remove debris or downed trees from their property. As of Thursday morning, Entergy Mississippi was reporting over 10,000 power outages.
