One person is dead after a car went into the Ross Barnett Reservoir in Ridgeland early Thursday morning.
Crews responded to the scene about 5:15 a.m., per a report from WLBT, and were able to save one person and transport them to a local hospital. The other was found deceased floating in the water.
As of now, no identities are being released as officials work to remove the car from the water and investigate what caused the incident.
This is the second storyline surrounding the reservoir in as many days as a boat caught on fire Wednesday afternoon, forcing two people and their dog to jump ship.
