A man is dead after a boat that he and six others were on caught fire in Tishomingo County on Sunday morning.
According to WTVA, the incident happened on the Tenn-Tom Waterway near Burnsville. The group had only been off the ramp for about a mile when the blaze began south of the Highway 72 bridge.
Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon identified Janari Pritchard, 20, as the deceased.
The other six people on board were able to swim to safety.
