UPDATE: Admitted Murderer Who Stops to Give Police Clue to Her Victim’s Whereabouts, Has Been Captured

 

TUPELO, Miss. – The woman believed to have killed her boyfriend and dropped off a confession letter to deputies in Jones County, has been captured.

Tupleo police said Leah Bishop was arrested in Winnsboro, Louisiana.  She was wanted in connection with the death of Jessie Traylor, 65.

TUPELO, Miss. – Police are looking for a woman who’s confession note led them to a body inside a Tupelo home Wednesday night.

Investigators say the woman, believed to be 45-year-old Leah Bishop, went to a museum, dropped the note and left.  In it, they said she wrote that she had killed her boyfriend and that his body could be found in a home in Tupelo.  When police arrived at the address provided in the letter, they found the body of Jessie Traylor, 65, wrapped in a sheet.  He had been shot.

Investigators are now searching for Bishop.  She is believed to be driving a 2005 gray Dodge Stratus. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police.
