Ciudad Rodrigo, SPAIN – A sophomore from Ole Miss is still recovering today from surgery after he was gored by a fighting bull. The injury happened on Saturday when Benjamin Milley who is from Marietta, Georgia, attended a bull running festival in Ciudad Rodrigo, Spain while he was studying abroad in Salamanca. During the festival he was attacked by a fighting bull, impaled in the thigh by one of the horns, and then tossed around before he was able to be pulled to safety.
After a three hour operation, doctors said Milley is going to be alright. His 16 inch wound was apparently the biggest wound they’ve ever had to operate on.
