NO MERCY.
In a mercy-rule-victory, Ole Miss softball rolled over Southern Illinois Friday night in Oxford. 8-0 was the score at the end of the second game of the NCAA regional tourney.
Ole Miss softball has been on a steady incline for the past 3 years since head coach Mike Smith came on board. In that time, he’s brought the program back from the brink of uncertainty.
A record crowd was in attendance Friday night: 1,677 caught the Rebels’ NCAA regional host debut.
That record is expected to be broken again today as Ole Miss takes on Arizona State in the winner’s bracket at 1:30.
