Week one of college football is in the books and Ole Miss has moved up two spots in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
The Rebels opened the season ranked No. 22 prior to Saturday’s 73-7 victory over Mercer. After the conclusion of all the games from the past weekend, Ole Miss found itself ranked No. 20 ahead of a matchup versus No. 24 Tulane on the road this coming Saturday.

Despite taking down Southeastern Louisiana by a dominant score of 48-7, Mississippi State remains unranked going into week two. The Bulldogs will have the chance to amass a power five victory against Arizona this weekend and vie for a spot in the poll.
Southern Miss also missed the list in this week’s rankings after defeating Alcorn State 40-14 at home. The Golden Eagles will undoubtedly be considered for a spot if they upset No. 4 Florida State in Tallahassee this Saturday.
