The Ole Miss football team moved up two spots in the Associated Press Top 25 following the team’s 48-23 home victory over Georgia Tech.
Ole Miss (3-0) withstood a home battle with the Yellowjackets who tested the Rebels’ defense, amassing 474 total yards. Nevertheless, Pete Golding’s unit bent but did not break and set up opportunities for the offense to capitalize and steal momentum late in the game.
Quarterback Jaxson Dart showcased his talents both on the ground with 136 yards and two touchdowns and in the air with 251 yards and a score. A late touchdown pass to Jordan Watkins and a rushing score by Matt Jones sealed the Rebels’ first victory of the season over a power five opponent.
Ole Miss will have the chance to move even further up the list during the team’s opening conference matchup on the road versus No. 13 Alabama.
