Ole Miss star linebacker Suntarine Perkins has been arrested for driving under the influence and reckless driving.
The 20-year-old sophomore was taken into custody by deputies in Lafayette County early Thursday morning for the DUI, his first offense, and reckless driving. He was booked just before 3 a.m.
Officials with the Ole Miss football program have remained mum following the Raleigh native’s arrest. Disciplinary action against Perkins has not been announced.
Perkins, a former five-star, appeared in all 13 of the Rebels’ games in the 2023 campaign, logging 38 total tackles and 3.5 sacks in his freshman season. He was also given an SEC Co-Freshman of the Week honor last October and named to the conference’s All-Freshman Team.
