Ole Miss has moved up to No. 11 in the latest Associated Press poll following the team’s blowout win versus Vanderbilt on Saturday.
The Rebels jumped to an early 26-0 start and cruised their way to a 33-7 victory in the Homecoming match against the Commodores. Pete Golding’s defense held strong, allowing less than 230 total yards of offense on the day.
Quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 19 of 28 passes for 240 yards with one touchdown and an interception. Dayton Wade was Dart’s primary target, hauling in eight passes for 120 yards and a score. All-American running back Quinshon Judkins led the team on the ground with 124 yards and two touchdowns.
On defense, the unit forced five sacks — 2.5 of which came from Jared Ivey — and seven tackles for loss. Safety Tre Washington recorded his first two interceptions of the season.
Ole Miss (7-1, 4-1 SEC) will look to continue its conference winning streak when the team takes on Texas A&M at Vaught Hemingway Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 4. The game will kick off at 11 a.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN and can be listened to on participating SuperTalk Mississippi stations.
