Week 11 got started with a 4-round circuit, and I’m not trying to brag, but I killed it! I know part of it was the motivation to work off the fried foods I enjoyed during my trip to Nashville for the US Soccer match this weekend, but a big part of my ability to do so well on my workout was simply the sum of all my work up to this point. I’m fitter, I’m leaner, I’m stronger, and I’m in overall better shape. While I can take some sizable credit for my own progress, I have to say a big thank you to Coach Kilgore from Millsaps for continuing to inspire me and encourage me to push my limits and test myself.
With only 7 workouts left in the first phase of my Operation Healthy State journey, it would be easy to say, “well I’ve done enough. I’ve lost some weight and I’m feeling better physically. I can take a break.” I am not going to take the easy way out. I told Coach Kilgore that I plan to continue working with him for as long as he will have me. I’ve gotten to the point that I look forward to my workouts 4 times a week, and I hope that, in some way, I might’ve inspired you to join me in one way or another to lead a healthier lifestyle. I’ve bought in 100%, but even if you only change one thing in your life to make your lifestyle a healthier one, then you’ve done more than most of the people you know. Bravo to you!
