As Hurricane Ian travels north, it looks as if the Magnolia State will go without any impact.
According to the National Weather Service, it will remain sunny across Mississippi – that includes the Gulf Coast – into next week.
Mississippi, who’s no stranger to hurricanes, is quite lucky this time around. In Florida, over 2.5 million residents were mandated to evacuate prior to Ian’s Wednesday afternoon landfall.
305 PM EDT 28 Sep — Hurricane #Ian has made landfall as an extremely dangerous Category 4 hurricane near Cayo Costa, Florida with maximum sustained winds at 150 mph. The minimum pressure from Air Force Reconnaissance Hurricane Hunters was 940 mb.
