Make that four confirmed tornadoes that touched down on Christmas Eve in Mississippi as the National Weather Service in Jackson now states that a short-lived system formed in Madison County.
We have confirmed an EF-0 tornado occurred near the Way community in northern Madison County on the night of December 23rd, bringing the total to 4 for the event. The confirmation of the EF-0 storm in Madison follows the NWS’ initial report on the 26th detailing the three systems that touched down in Stringer, Taylorsville and Hot Coffee.
No injuries were reported from any of the four tornadoes.
