DURANT, Miss.- Memorial services for the two nuns that were slain in their home in Durant have been arranged.
Sister Paula Merrill, who was part of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Kentucky, will be buried in Bardstown, Kentucky. Sister Margaret Held is going to Milwaukee since she is a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis.
The two were 68 years old and served the community of Durant.
They were found stabbed to death in the home that they shared. Rodney Earl Sanders, 46, confessed to killing the nuns and has been charged with two counts of capitol murder.
The motive for the crime has yet to be released.
