JACKSON, Miss. – If you are looking for a job, this might help.
More than 25 companies have dozens of positions they are trying to fill. Lowes’s Home Improvement, Hardy Manufacturing Company and Tyson Foods are among them. Representatives for those companies will be present at the Mid-Mississippi Area Job Fair on February 27. The job fair is from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Neshoba County Coliseum and is part of the Governor’s Job Fair Network.
The Mississippi Department of Corrections is not expected to have recruiters at the job fair; but the agency is hiring too. MDOC is looking for guards to work at it’s facility in Leakesville. Interviews and screenings will take place at the prison March 4-11. You can apply online at www.mdoc.state.ms.us. You must be at least 18 with a valid driver’s license and Social Security card.
