JACKSON, Miss. – The Powerball jackpot continues to climb as there were no winners in Wednesday night’s drawing.
Mississippi does not have a lottery, but that doesn’t appear to be stopping residents from jumping state lines to buy a ticket.
A Chevron station in Delta, Louisiana reported having a line wrapped around the building, Wednesday.
Wednesday nights jackpot was $422 million. The jackpot is expected to grow until Saturday night’s drawing. As of Thursday the Jackpot sat at $478 million.
The largest Jackpot in Powerball history was $1.6 billion back in January.
