Jackson, Miss– The deadline for either having a job, training, or the pursuit of one of the two is quickly approaching if you want to keep your SNAP benefits.
March 30th is the deadline to have a job or be in the process of job training or education if you’re needing your food stamp benefits.
If there’s no job or other eligible effort by the new rules, then your food stamp benefits could be cut off.
This applies to able-bodied 18-49 year olds with no children or other people who depend on them living in the home.
Because unemployment is so high in Mississippi, up to 75,000 people in the Magnolia state could lose those benefits.
