WASHINGTON, D.C.– There won’t be a Keystone Pipeline according to President Obama, and Senator Roger Wicker says that’s a miss on the administration’s side.
“President Obama has once again proven that he prioritizes the interests of far-left environmental activists over American workers and the nation’s energy security. His decision today will deny jobs to tens of thousands of Americans who are actively looking for work. These resources will be developed regardless of the President’s opposition. But now they are likely to benefit China instead of the United States.”
According to the State Department, the pipeline would have created 42,000 jobs during construction with little impact on the environment.
