No injuries were reported after a Madison County school bus hauling multiple children was involved in a three-vehicle crash in Gluckstadt on Wednesday morning.
The crash took place on Yandell Road near the Aulenbrock Road intersection. Officers were dispatched to the scene around 8 a.m. The bus was reportedly carrying more than 20 Germantown Middle School students.
According to the Madison County Journal, traffic suddenly came to a halt on Yandell Road and the bus was not able to stop in time to avoid contact with a truck, which struck another vehicle as a result of the impact.
All three vehicles involved were towed. The scene was cleared just before 9 a.m., Gluckstadt police confirm. The bus driver is not expected to face any charges.
Madison County School District officials notified parents of the students on the bus about the wreck. Another bus picked up the pupils and took them to school.
