The Mississippi Center for Public Policy announced that Mississippians will now be able to see online how education funds have been spent in local districts and what results educationally have come from that.
Visiting the site you can compare your own district to others and then see what the spending looks like. The website will list more than 50 categories including accountability levels, teacher salaries, expenses per student, the amount of money provided by local, state, and federal government and several more.
The date which is found on the site was acquired from the State Department of Education in one way or another. You can visit the site at SeeTheSchoolSpending.org.
MCPP will hold a news conference at 2:00 today at their office on George Street to answer further questions about the new site.
