GULFPORT, Miss.- Police confirm new information on the 3-year-old boy stabbed on Monday night by his mother.
A three-year-old boy was stabbed three times by his mother Monday night. He is now in stable condition at a Mobile, AL, hospital.
Department Spokesman Sgt. Damon McDaniel said the police may now have an understanding as to what lead to the stabbing. Only minutes before police think there was an argument between the boy’s mother and father, who are married, and this lead to the stabbing.
WLOX reported that the man who witnessed the incident said he saw a man holding the woman on the ground and she was complaining about something having happened to her son. The bystander, Devon Stachowiack, then noticed the toddler stumbling towards him with severe injuries.
Stachowiack then tried to help the child for fear that he could die. Officers showed up around 11 p.m. and took the boy to the hospital and he was later taken to Mobile.
His mother, Gava-Hudson was arrested and was charged with attempted murder.
