After three years, a new Baptist hospital is opening its doors in Oxford
“The transitioning of new hospitals is always driven by the need for a change in infrastructure,” said Timothy Moore, President, and CEO of the Mississippi Hospital Association. “It is truly a state of the art facility. It has a hybrid OR room where there are only one or two of those in the country and there will be a training site for that equipment which brings more positive energy to the state of Mississippi when we do things like that.”
He added that they are extremely proud to have Baptist in the state.
“They have always been a good member, they’ve been a good player in the state,” said Moore. “They provide good healthcare and that is a positive approach for the state.”
The new five-story hospital will have 602,831 square feet, including 217 beds with more comprehensive medical and surgical services than before.
The facility is officially set to open up November 25th in Oxford.
